ABOUT US

Hello,

I’m Chris Grant, founder and CEO of Dadvocate. Dadvocate was founded because of my own struggles with a custody battle and the obvious need for an organization with the purpose of helping men with the problems associated with this type of issue. Had it not been for the support that I received from family and friends, I’m not sure I would have made it through my own case. That being said, I’m determined to extend the support I was given to any other father that needs it. Dadvocate operates on two main principles. The first is that we believe that a father should strive for as much time as he can possibly get with his child(ren) up to and including 50/50 joint legal and physical custody.  The second principle is that it is the responsibility of the father to be the best co-parent that he can possibly be regardless of the level of cooperation he receives from the mother of his child(ren). The child(ren) should come first no matter what!  In addition to this, there are a few other things that are encouraged by Dadvocate. We want to stress the importance of personal growth and taking personal responsibility to each dad we come in contact with. This is the cornerstone of becoming and being a good father. If we aren’t continuously working on ourselves, then how can we help our children grow when they need our help? Along with this, we encourage each dad we meet to strive to maintain a positive lifestyle and be an example for their child(ren). Another thing that we focus on is financial stability. It can be extremely hard to make ends meet, especially with the burden of child support, legal fees, along with the cost of actually raising the child(ren). We try to help by gathering donations from the community and passing them on to the individual dads who need them. We also direct fathers to different resources that can give them the tools to help them become more financially secure. Another thing we like to do is find fun and affordable activities that fathers can enjoy with their child(ren). Since the inception of Dadvocate, we’ve received a great response from both men and women who support our cause. I personally want to thank everyone who has been a part of Dadvocate’s success thus far. The best part is that we’re just getting started.

Sincerely,

Chris L. Grant
